Earlier this year super drummer and friend Eric Stoye and I had a conversation about how the isolation caused by the pandemic was affecting our lives, and decided to collaborate remotely to make this track.

The concept was that though there is this negative feeling of being trapped and isolated, we have access to a lot of luxuries and technology that many people don't, and that to improve our lives we need to break free from these mental cages, hence the name "Gilded Cage".

Any proceeds generated from this track will be donated to Second Harvest, a food bank in Japan providing relief for those suffering from the economic fallout caused by Covid 19.

Big thank you to Alexis Boettcher for providing the amazing artwork for this track, and my sister Ashley Nelson for weaving her lyrical tapestry of spoken word.
